The Equipment
About 90% of Namibia is unmetalled graded gravel road, but to be fully prepared for the variety of terrain the correct vehicles are required. Gravel Travel use a fleet of specially-modified Yamaha XT600 E, TTR600 and Yamaha XTZ660 motorcycles. These are equipped with long-range 20 litre fuel tanks, MSA road book holder, Touratech electronic trip master. We also pay special attention to safety, reinforced suspension, special tyres, a modified air intake and filter system, wheels with Excel alloy rims and reinforced stainless steel spokes as well as Touratech hand protectors take care of this aspect.
And since you should not be bothered with repair and maintenance work during your holidays, all our tours are accompanied by an expert mechanic. Our support vehicle carries a comprehensive range of spare parts next to your personal baggage.
